Paint a chair to put on your porch, in your garden, or anywhere at The Next Picture Show fundraiser set for 9 a.m. to noon on June 16.  All materials are provided in this morning workshop, including the wooden antique chair.

The cost is $50 with all proceeds going to The Next Picture Show. Work space is limited. Please have your space reserved with your payment no later than Friday, June 15, 2007.

Reagan Middle School Art Teacher, Debbie Thompson will be available to answer questions and give suggestions, and she’ll be painting a chair herself. If you have a particular painting or collage idea that you want to do, feel free to bring pictures or collage materials. Debbie will be providing some collage materials along with many painting supplies.

“This is a good spring/summer project for people who want to express their artistic side. This activity is great for anyone, and you’ll leave with something you can display,” said Bonnie Kime, the gallery’s executive director.

The Next Picture Show is a non-profit fine arts community center serving the Rock River Valley. The gallery provides art classes, workshops, and special event rental space. It is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday or by appointment.
