The Next Picture Show has announced a one day, oil painting workshop by Michael Gerry. It will be held at the gallery on Saturday, November 10, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The gallery will supply the materials needed, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they have them. Students for this class should be of intermediate to advanced skill level. The session will be a “free paint,” so students should bring something to use as subject matter.

Cost of the class is $70 for members and $75 for nonmembers. The class size is a minimum of four people and a maximum of eight people.

Students should bring a sack lunch and the gallery will provide soft drinks and water.

“This is a great class for artists who really want to work on their technique. Michael will be able to give them individual attention and share his skills with them in a more intimate setting, as class size is limited,” said Bonnie Kime, executive director of The Next Picture Show.
