A performance by students of local piano instructor Kathy Hann was held on Saturday, Feb. 17 at The Next Picture Show.

The recital was open to the public. Hann, of Franklin Grove, recently returned to the area from South Carolina where she directed her own music school for 15 years before becoming Director of Piano and Strings at Ashley Hall School for girls (Barbara Bush’s alma mater) in Charleston.

She has a bachelor’s degree in music performance from Northern Illinois University and is currently teaching piano to all ages and levels from her studios in both Dixon and Rockford.
