Grand Detour Fine Arts Festival
Sunday, September 13, 9am-4pm
Some 61 years ago a number of local artists and art patrons from in and around Grand Detour planned and sponsored an arts festival during the late summer season. Since then the festival has grown and now includes a separate student art show. Food and beverage concessions have also been added and music has become an integral part of the Sunday show.

A small admission fee of $2.00 is charged to enter the grounds which are located one block west of Route 2 at 8393 South Main Street. Hours are from 9 am to 4 pm. The site can be seen from Highway 2. So, come on out to the Grand Detour Art Festival and enjoy a stroll through the historic site and enjoy art from Midwestern artists.....have a lunch and a beverage....enjoy the music, and return home with an original art piece from an artist that you met on a warm sunshiny day in early September.
